It would also start highlighting things on its own when scrolling down the page. It did it with the TouchPad mouse, but it also did it with the regular mouse buttons on the laptop. Regardless, everything I could find suggested that I uninstall the Synaptics driver and then reinstall it. I uninstalled the driver, and now everything is working perfectly now that the mouse is running from the PS/2 driver. I tried reinstalling the Synaptics driver from the Synaptics website (and I did try both Vista options just in case I was trying to run the wrong one) because we really miss the scroll option on the TouchPad, however when I try to run it, it tells me that it is an invalid Win32 application. What can I do now? So it was working fine at one point.
